Inspired by the behavior of cells in the human body, the workshop uses the metaphor of connection and collaboration as foundations for functionality and regeneration. Just as cells come together to form tissues and systems, participants are encouraged to create, transform, and recognize the power of empathy and the collective beyond individual capacities.
In this seminar we will reinforce fundamental techniques and principles of working with contact, such as supports and spatiality, deepening the practice of physical actions such as pushing, pulling and resisting – paths that enhance the encounter with the other. We will also explore concepts such as structures and mobile bases, opening up space to imagine and build a dance that is sensitive and available to what emerges in the moment of interacting.
This seminar is designed for those who wish to explore the body as a creative, collaborative, and regenerative tool, with some experience in the performing arts and/or the arts of movement.
